Why do MPs and MLAs get pensions for working just for 5 years and common people are not eligible for a pension even after working for 30-40 years?
खासदार आणि आमदारांना फक्त 5 वर्षे काम केल्यावर पेन्शन का मिळते आणि 30-40 वर्षे काम करूनही सर्वसामान्यांना पेन्शन का मिळत नाही?
I say, atrocious not because the MPs and MLAs gets the pension and the common people does not get it. Leave the common people.
Just take the case of those people who are fighting the enemies at the border and fighting the terrorists inside our territory. I am talking about BSF, CRPF, ITBP, etc. I am talking about the para-military forces. For them, the New Pension Scheme has been introduced. This pension scheme is nothing but a recurring deposit scheme. Everyone knows this. While the Army, Navy, and Air Force retained the Old Pension Scheme, the para-military forces have been deprived of that.
मी म्हणतो, खासदार-आमदारांना पेन्शन मिळते आणि सर्वसामान्यांना मिळत नाही म्हणून अत्याचार नाही. सामान्य लोकांचे सोडा सीमेवर शत्रूंशी लढणाऱ्या आणि आपल्या हद्दीत दहशतवाद्यांशी लढणाऱ्या लोकांचेच उदाहरण घ्या.
बीएसएफ, सीआरपीएफ, आयटीबीपी इत्यादींबद्दल बोलत आहे. मी निमलष्करी दलांबद्दल बोलत आहे. त्यांच्यासाठी नवी पेन्शन योजना सुरू करण्यात आली आहे. ही पेन्शन योजना रिकरिंग डिपॉझिट स्कीमशिवाय दुसरे तिसरे नाही. हे सर्वांना माहीत आहे. लष्कर, नौदल आणि हवाई दलाने जुनी पेन्शन योजना कायम ठेवली असली तरी निमलष्करी दलांना त्यापासून वंचित ठेवण्यात आले आहे.

For para-military soldiers, re-settlement is also not easy. They have no quota for Government jobs or in Public Sector jobs. The people who knew about the work of our brothers and sisters in the para-military forces can vouch for how important is their contribution to the country’s security.

They give their life for the security of the country. They risk their lives at the borders in stopping the enemy from entering. The media hails the martyrdom of every soldier. They call them soldiers only whether they belong to the military or para-military. Even we also do not differentiate them. For us also, they are soldiers. But the Government differentiates. The brave soldiers who belong to the para-military services do not deserve a pension, but the MP and MLA deserve it just because they have served for five years.
देशाच्या सुरक्षेसाठी ते जीवाचे रान करतात. शत्रूला प्रवेश करण्यापासून रोखण्यासाठी ते सीमेवर आपला जीव धोक्यात घालतात. प्रत्येक जवानाच्या हौतात्म्याचे प्रसारमाध्यमांनी अभिनंदन केले. ते त्यांना फक्त सैनिक म्हणतात मग ते लष्करी असोत किंवा अर्धसैनिक. आम्ही देखील त्यांना वेगळे करत नाही. आमच्यासाठीही ते सैनिक आहेत. पण सरकार वेगळे करत आहे. निमलष्करी सेवेतील शूर सैनिकांना पेन्शन मिळू शकत नाही, तर खासदार आणि आमदार केवळ पाच वर्षे सेवा बजावल्यामुळे पेन्शनला पात्र आहेत.
